You are the expert in your life. As your therapist, my role is to help you become a stronger, more resilient version of yourself in the most authentic way possible. Therapy provides a safe place to process life’s difficulties while providing insight into your true, most authentic self. I invite you to take a journey into new and unknown perspectives, give up behaviors that are no longer serving you, and learn new skills to handle life’s challenges. Together, we will come up with ways to help you live the life you imagined possible.

My therapeutic approach is informed by Person-Centered therapy, acceptance and non-judgment are the cornerstones of this work. I also combine various theoretical modalities in order to meet each client’s individual needs, which include Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Therapy, Gottman Couples Therapy, and more.

My background includes working with children (10+), teens, adolescents, adults, and couples. I have a special interest in working with anxiety, depression, boundaries in relationships, social pressure, self-esteem, and conflict resolution.

In addition to individual counseling, I also offer both couples counseling and pre-marriage counseling. I work from an empirical model of Gottman Couples Therapy, and have completed Gottman Level I and II training. This approach uses proven methods that help couples increase empathy and connection, promote effective communication, thrive during conflict, and build caring behaviors and rituals. Pre-marriage counseling can help build a strong foundation for a healthy marriage, address any existing issues, and increase communication and problem-solving skills.

I am a bilingual therapist and have a strong background working with Russian speaking clients that face challenges related to acculturation, identity development, and starting over. I can provide therapy in Russian if needed.

I offer daytime and evening appointments, both virtual and in-person in Katy, TX.

Julie has helped me realize my worth and grow my abilities to improve my relationships with others through communication and my relationship with myself by challenging my unhelpful thoughts and accepting my emotions. My depression and OCD symptoms have greatly improved thanks to the skills and frameworks she provided me.
