Once you have decided to take the critical step of seeking out therapy, you have made a brave step towards your self-care. My goal is to be with my clients every step of the way to help them attain any goals that they may have to improve their relationships or even daily lives. I work from a client-centered perspective to cater to a treatment plan centered around your personal needs.
My name is Katherine Lickteig, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor-Associate in the Katy area. After years of 5 years of working in the public school system, I decided to bring my years of experience to the private sector. This work experience has allowed me to work with students of various backgrounds and issues. While working in high school counseling, I enjoyed providing services for a wide range of concerns, such as the dynamics of parent-child- relationships, teen anxiety and mood disturbances, teens dealing with identity exploration, difficult life transitions, and working with teen mothers.
I am passionate about the following areas of interest: significant life changes, victims of domestic or mental abuse, couples counseling, adoption and attachment disorder, divorce counseling, college counseling, and children and teen issues.
My clients are very important to me, and I desire that they reach their personal goals. I strive hard to build strong relationships with my clients that allow the true inner person to show through. I will be offering daytime and evening virtual and in-person appointments.
