What is Men’s Group?

The Counseling Center at Cinco Ranch offers a group for men ages 25-55 who are looking to talk about their struggles and relate to other men in a safe and supportive environment. The group allows men to share their experience, receive support and give encouragement. Men’s group provides a welcoming space to connect with other's in an authentic and transparent way. Group counseling encourages men to break down barriers, take off masks and let down walls. 

Why is Men’s Group Effective?

Men’s group is effective because it allows men to experiment with new ways to communicate, connect, and learn with other's. Men’s group provides an opportunity for men to learn what does and does not work in promoting healthy relationships. Men have an opportunity to identify patterns that have hurt them in the past and to work on developing new ways of relating that promote growth and fulfillment. Men’s group is a social microcosm where members gain insight into their old relational patterns and learn how to adopt new ones to improve their life.

Men’s group is held on Wednesday’s at 9:00am, every other week. Our practice is taking all necessary safety precautions for Covid-19; we are holding our groups in the conference room of the office next door to allow for social distancing, as well as wearing masks coming in and out of groups.
